BCM offers online studies in a variety of formats:
BCM hosted Studies
BCM initiates and hosts group study cohorts. These have in the past included cohorts working through the Bartimaeus Institute Online coursework and those studying Healing Haunted Histories.
Studies facilitated for other groups
Elaine and Ched have run a range of studies and lecture series for churches, educational institutions and other groups. Contact us about our availability and cost to have BCM run a study for your group. An individual Brief Reader’s Guide and Further Queries is available for Healing Haunted Histories and a group study guide is forthcoming.
Self guided Study
Bartimaeus Institute Online (BIO) coursework is designed for individual or group self-guided study through five different topics. All of the material is accessed online. Two recorded studies by Ched (5 sessions each on the Gospels of Mark and Luke) were recorded and are available for US$20.00 (see here).

Thanks for your interest in our work. Ched has done traveling ministry throughout North America and beyond for more than 40 years, Elaine for more than 30. As we face the realities of cumulative wear and tear on our bodies, the demands of local work and the ultimatums of climate crisis, we are adjusting how we do this work sustainably. To invite Elaine and/or Ched to work with your community please email us; we are happy to provide information on rates and calendar. Our rates represent a concrete expression of our discipleship (all honoraria go to BCM and re-present an important source of revenue for our Cooperative), and are set by our board (exceptions must be approved). Note: Ched no longer travels out of California to speak or teach, but continues to resource gatherings through Zoom and other online platforms.
