Resurrection and the Traumatic Somatic

Ched preached at Manhattan Mennonite Fellowship on April 11, 2021. Two years ago he gave a sermon at Garrett Evangelical Seminary titled “Resurrection and the Traumatic Somatic.” It’s one of his favorite pieces, and was published later that year in The Christian Century. In this sermon Ched revisited that reflection, revised and expanded, a take on resurrection that tries to bear the weight of our historical moment.
