Ched on the Right Side Up podcast

Danielle Strickland and James Sholl interview Ched on their “Right Side Up” Podcast, and possible Ordinary Time Zoom forum

The Revised Common Lectionary takes an Eastertide detour through John’s gospel this month; I’ll resume my Lukan reflections on Ascension (week of May 26) and Pentecost Sundays (week of June 2). We then begin Ordinary Time, and an unbroken string of Sunday Lukan gospel readings. This is a good time for a study group or preaching series! Note: I’m contemplating hosting a twice-monthly zoom forum from June-November for those using HARP which would focus on upcoming lectionary texts if there’s interest, so let me know if you would participate. And remember, through the end of July you can order HARP at 20% off using discount code SOJO20 at my page on Bookshop.org.

Meantime, check out my interview with Canadians Danielle Strickland (right) and James Sholl last month on their “Right Side Up” podcast here (click on this link for summaries and highlights of the 55 min. conversation).

May is a busy month for Elaine and me. We began it with six days in Antigua, Guatemala, where we co-presided (with T’zules Sunun, left, a Mayan guia spiritual) at a marriage recommitment ceremony of two dear mentees, Grecia and Josh Lopez Reyes. Grecia is from Guate, and we enjoyed meeting family as well as their friends from Puerto Rico and the U.S. We’ll end the month at the Second Festival of Radical Discipleship, then the Atlantic Life Community’s 55th anniversary retreat, both at Kirkridge Retreat Center in northeast PA.
